Planet Rabbit's production of: THE BLITZ BRIDE

Showing on Saturday 19th May 2012

Haworth West Lane Methodist Church, West Lane. 7.00pm

It's wartime Britain and ATS girl Ruby is set to wed Henry, although sooner than planned, (if Henry and her Dad, Arthur, have anything to do with it), for Ruby to avoid a posting abroad! Stationed away from home it is left for her mother, Peggy, and her heavily pregnant best friend, Nancy, to organise the lot. Based on true anecdotes and full of nostalgia, laughs and a wartime sing song. A one-act play lasting approx 1 hour 15 mins.

This production saw 16 performances in 2011 and was nominated for Best Production at the Buxton Festival Fringe in July 2011.

Tickets £7.50. Written & directed by Claire Spratt.
